چکیده

Salmonella is a major zoonotic foodborne pathogen that persists on poultry farms worldwide. The present study aimed to survey the prevalence of and antimicrobial resistance enterica serovar Enteritidis (S. Enteritidis) recovered from broiler chickens in Shandong Province, China. A total 280 isolates were identified 923 chicken samples between 2013 2018. Among isolates, S. (n = 128, 45.7%) was predominant serovar, high rates piperacillin (PIP) 123, 96.1%), ampicillin (AM) 122, 95.3%), nitrofurantoin (FT) 106, tetracycline (TE) 93, 72.7%) observed Enteritidis. 96 (75.0%) presented with multidrug resistance, most frequent which combination AM, PIP, TE, FT. Resistance fluoroquinolone tended increase during Our findings provide important updated information about baseline antimicrobial-resistant data for food safety risk assessment Province will be helpful future surveillance activities ensure supply.

Antimicrobial resistance and subtyping of Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Enteritidis isolated from human outbreaks and poultry in southern Brazil.

To investigate antimicrobial resistance, 96 Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Enteritidis strains isolated from salmonellosis outbreaks and poultry-related products obtained in southern Brazil were analyzed. Macrorestriction patterns, obtained by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and phage types, were assessed. Although 43.75% of samples were sensitive to all drugs tested, resistan...

Antimicrobial Resistance of Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium in Shanghai, China

We aimed to analyze the antimicrobial resistance phenotypes and to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance to cephalosporins, ciprofloxacin, and azithromycin in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium isolates identified from patients with diarrhea in Shanghai. The isolates showed high rates of resistance to traditional antimicrobials, and 20.6, 12.7, and 5.5% of them exhibited...
